Hi everybody,
I’m trying to configure ExpertSDR (SunSdr2Dx) to be used with digital modes.
With my Yaesu radio I have a perfectly working setup: WSJT-X + GridTracker + Log4OM.
Now I’m trying to use my Sun instead of Yaesu.
I’ve noticed unfortunately only JTDX works with TCI and it does it well.
JTDX is messy compared to WSJT-X and unfortunately the majority of times
is not working correctly with gridtracker.
So I would like to go back to WSJT-X and the old CAT / VAC philosophy.
And here started even more problems.
The pc I use with Sun is a notebook with NO physical serial ports.
Obviously RadioSync is not working and I’ve tried installing com0com
Even com0com is not working due to some drivers signature problems on windows 10 pro.

Anyone knows a SIMPLE and EFFECTIVE procedure to setup WSJT-X and ExpertSDR?
How do I easily create virtual serial ports without com0com or the expensive VSPD?

Thanks, Tony

Hi,
I don't work digital modes, so I am not sure if this is what you are looking for but you can try it.

Hi Tony,
If you do not want to work with JTDX and TCI, but use WSJT-X/CAT/VAC, I suggest you stick with ESDR version 2 and follow the setup guide in the User manual Addendum. eesdr.com/en/products-en/transceivers-en/sunsdr2dx-en#documentation

apparently there is also a windows binary available for github.com/ftl/tciadapter
I've never tried hamlib rigctl on windows, but maybe worth a try.

Why not try MSHV - lz2hv.org/mshv

More modes Plus TCI

And if you don't like that method then use VSP manager (as mentioned above) been using it since early Flex days and never had an iissue with it 7/8/8.1/10 and now 11 for your virtual comports and VAC for the audio paths
