Is it possible to set up remote CW operation using EESDR3? I don't see a good way to do CW remote without a delay. Any help would be really appreciated.

It would be handy if you will expand "remote" a bit. I.e.: how "remote" it is and what exactly if the topology is in mind?

Remote CW TX should not have any issue. For Remote CW RX, however, the delays need to be sorted out - and those are very dependent on the topology and media used.

I am particularly talking about operation in CW mode over a LAN. As an aside I noticed a really annoying delay when I have the CW key plugged directly into my SunSDR2 Pro. I am particularly wondering if anyone has a setup where they are operating CW over a LAN. I am running a Gigabit LAN. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Robin,

When using the sdr in cw it is important to use key connection and earphone of the same hardware. Either both directly connected to the sdr or both connected to a pc. The e-coder has a keyer connection and you should use it for this purpose. Perfect solution, no delay.

Robin, the CW operations / setup options with SunSDR were numerously discussed / described through the years. There are heaps of information in official manuals and extended manuals written by users.

You may start by checking out this post
There is the reason why we are asking for the setup (described in above link why).

Recently we've announced the E-Coder2 with a sound-card on board. Using it you connect your CW-paddle in the E-Coder2 and monitor yourself without any delays by connecting your headphones also in the E-Coder.

Hi Roman, Is it possible to upgrade an E-Coder Plus with this sound card feature? I've not seen anything official on your "Products" tab, but wondered if this might be a possibility in the future.
Thanks and Regards,
