@OK1RR

Martin, due to 0.9A ED testing approaching its final, and TCI 1.6 is about to be released, I am going to do some tests on TCI CW this and next week. Usually, very high speed CW is outside of my interest, however, I can do tests around it too. If you, please, can target me the typical speed you after (and other parameters if there are any). As the result I hope it will produce interim TCI-based solution (if you are interested) for your QSK-related issue.

Here we go and that was really fun :D

While Martin is "losing his patience" (come on, Martin, couple beers and patience will return, I am sure), I have decided to test something with SunSDR CW, which I have never tested before. Why? Just because :)

Testing setup is very simple:
On a left - my fresh SunSDR DX, transmitting to dummy load.
On a right - my "IOTA veteran" - SunSDR2, receiving via cable (connected on ANT2 and other side unconnected - on top of dummy load).

Both are running under ESDR3 latest alpha 0.9, DX is under Mac and 2 is under Win10:

And S2 will be seen on recorded video.

I am using TCI cw_macro with the only reason, that my tests are required CW speed, which I will not be able achieve ever with manual keying - up to 100WPM.

Testing two things:
1. Major task - can DX transmit in a range from 30 to 100 WPM (with step up of 10WPM) with RX->TX delay set to "zero" without artifacts? I am going to control any potential artifacts with SunSDR2. Main purpose of this test: to see it there are definitely any issues with relays, which should result in shortening initial transmitted symbol (that what Martin said he eve "measured" somehow, but honestly - I did not see those "measures").
2. Minor task - can SDC actually decode up to 100WPM? If it does - good, then the controlling part is OK. If it does not - then I will slow down recorded audio to check if there are any artifacts.

Here is the video, I leave it here un-cut and un-edited. Just raw - exactly as is it was recorded. Fair warning - video is 370Mb size:

I think there are no further comments needed, just watch and listen.

Cheers!

P.S. Yes, I am still not sure at this stage, whether "relays" are really drama and needed to be replaced with PIN diodes.
P.S.S. I always new that SDC is "very good job" :)
