I was searching for a small USB serial adapter to hook up a paddle with ExpertSDR. But apparently only very few of such adapters break out CTS and DSR. Those that do are usually larger ones, often as PCB. Also I wanted one with an FTDI chipset, so that it would work out of the box on most operating systems. Finally I've found the Delock 90415, which is small, breaks out the required serial control lines and uses an FTDI.
For the 3.5mm jack I'm using a Rean NYS 240 BG. It's a bit of a tight fit on the cable from the Delock, so I got a few marks on the cable during assembly. But it is high quality (that brand is also used by the paddle manufacturer) and I'm happy with the final result.
