Hey,

so thanks to everybody and to all the little puzzle pieces.
Andreas DF7ZI made some trials and when you switch on the headset symbol and you have defined a microfon in this menue you can actually get a TX signal.
He tested it at his test setup and did it on my test setup. Later today I will try to test it on a real antenne and see if I am able to work other stations.
So maybe this will help also some other Oms who might have the same issue.

Hello,
so it is just half the way, in the picture attached you see, one sun in my home network, but connected to the cloud (left side) gives power after switching on the head phone button. The other sun, standing 50km away on a real antenna gives no power. The same values in every menue and from my knowledge no differnce.
So no clue what this is now, but I am still trying!

Hello,
I hope i am not getting on any bodies nerves, when I let you participate on my steps, fails and success.

At this point, both suns are running local and also remote. During the week I might be able to write a small PDF with my up and downs, which might be helpful for somebody.

So the biggest success I gained was by increasing the drive level over 25%, and that means the value in B.M and the drive slider itself have to be in sum over 25% and now I can transmit remotely. I don't know why you need such a threshold, or the power meter can not show less power. I will work on this and as I said, I will write some lines together.

So I do not need to wiggle the drive slider each time, as mentioned in bug reports. Just once in sum with th B.M. more than 25% and it works.

But you can click the TX button?
The LED at the sun stays green!?

You are using the PI or the PC as server?

I have an issue attempting to run SSB while attempting to operate remote.
The audio is distorted and delayed. Cannot adjust VOX to work as usual.
I have the laptop mike set up in Skype and works perfectly but when I attempt to run using ERS nothing can be set for good operation.
The only items that work are single & two tone.
If you have had success running SSB using ESDR Beta 3, latest build, pse let me know.

Hallo Tom I tested remote today. My tranceiver seems to work but I have no waterfall and no spectrum so it is quiet. But I can transmit and have a good normal audio when record myself. But that can maybe be different If I had the rx working. It has working before and only thing I dont like is the delay.
There is something strange going on. According to the bottom line I am connected and ping is working. Can also see my transmit signal

Hello Svante,
I record my Transmit audio and the play back is broken up and distorted.
As you say, lots of delays/latency and I cannot find settings for the VOX to trip correctly.

Only the two tone and transmit seem to be working as expected.
The waterfall and spectrum work normally on my dummy load.

ERS is still truly in Beta stage. Need to have patience and wait for new updates.

I had some experience with ERS during last week's WPX SSB contest. I tested ERS remote from a place about 20km away from my home. ERS was the latest available version running on a Windows 10 PC at home on the same network where my SunSDR2DX is. At the remote site, I was using Ecoder2 with Yamaha CM500 headset plugged in and a foot switch.
Generally speaking ERS worked OK. I did not sense any significant delay based on the rx/tx sequence timing with other stations I worked.

My modulation did not sound all that great though - average at best.

Changing various parametric mic settings, (boost, compressor, clipper etc) did not seem to have any effect on my modulation as heard by others.

Also, the audio as received via Ecoder would become distorted over time and I needed to stop/start EESDR3 for it to clear.

So it worked but it seems it requires additional polishing.

Hello again Tom I use Mod mic microfon Which is a kind of head set mic I can put on my rx headset. I can NOT get good audio from laptop inboard mic. But tested my normal Rode podcast mic get good audio then I set up my mod mic with a Rode mic go which is a little tiny microfon I use for filming Ex you tube This is 2 tiny pieces mic and the other piece attached to camera or in this case laptop. In the camera piece is a 3.5 mm plug hole so I set my modmic in the 3.5 mm and then start bluetooth between those 2 pieces. The bluetooth is rating for about 50 meters. So audio works as normal with about same settings I have on stationary station. ( the little piece I put in laptop has also its own gain in 3 steps) I also use this microfon/headset in my boat but not as remote. Just so I can do some things whitout sitting in one place Vox works good for boating but would be impossible with remote because of the delayI If it is possible test with external mic. 73 Svante

Hello my friend,
this is Vic, I2GPT.
I got the same issue with my SDR2 and ESSDR3. Remote TX is ok whilst Local TX no power in SSB but works in CW.

Have you sorted out?

Thanks for your help.
