The first impressions are very good: the program started without any issue and I noted a great improvement in the network bandwidth usage. I can run my DX with 156 KHz sample rate in respect of the 39 KHz in EESDR2. Very nice!
Now I need to familiarize with the new layout.

Hmm..I'm afraid I'm not so sure. The waterfall doesn't seem to adjust in sensitivity, the RX gain compensation in the band map (which I was really looking forward to) seems to have to effect (what am I doing wrong?), and for the life of me I cant find VAC. I'll play with it a little more..but at the moment, until I can find the functionality I've got used to, I think I will be using EESDR2...hmmm

Hello Paul,
considering it is a ALPHA release, that will be followed (I suppose) by BETA, some RCxx and finally by a STABLE release, we should consider only available features.
On the download page are listed all the features that will be added, but at the moment, I think most of us will stay with the EESDR2 release.
In the mean time I can say the TCI connection is working fine with my automatic switch. I found a difference on the port number that now is 50001 instead of the old 40001.
Maybe Roman can clarify it and can tell us wich are the new ports for both the receivers.

Hi Enzo,
To be honest, I thought that today's was supposed to be a beta release..clearly not - it is an alpha. I applaud EE's efforts and their vision, so I hope they can get SSDR2 functionality in to SSDR3 quite quickly.
Ciao

Paul

1.3.1 Update 9 for macOS also missing...

Rush-rush-rush, I guess :)
I am going to run VM under Fusion with Win, update to 9. And then switch to macOS ESDR3. Will see how it will go.

First impression under macOS: "ITS ALIVE" :D

Feels quicker. Feels less memory. Feels Mac still wants to run vents :)

Hi,
what can you say about Audio/IQ streams via TCI?
It seems it isn't yet implemented but I read somewhere JTDX was tested on new EESDR3 TCI. Maybe I am wrong.

Sorry guys, this is not a releaseble software!!! It is nice-looking sandbox with very little inside.
I have Win10/64 fully updated on a gaming hi-perf PC and it works partially and bad.
1) It is unstable:
a) Once I run it, it doesn't store the setting: microphone selection is not stored and also username and Call are not stored in the launcher;
b) Once I shut it down the launcher is still running causing the blocking of new restart. I have to kill it in the task manager;
c) In a couple of occasions I turned the radio off (not shutting down the sw) and when turned on again I had no audio, both from VAC and phones front plug.
2) TX issues:
a) it doesn't tx CW whatever I do. I can hear it lower the volume when I'm keying but no TX at all
b) External PTT is not working at all

What I expect from a released software is that is fully functional, at least in the basic functions, then i'm aware that bugs are possible and I understand that it is in my interest to report issues/bugs to make it works...but what about this?
Is that only to me? Am I missing some steps that prevents a correct functionality?
Best,
Max IU4JNR

@Enzo

I cannot connect SDC to port 40001. No idea why. ADD ON. WOW-WOW, I was wrong! Yes I can. It just required to start ESDR3 first and then run SDC. Important - make sure you match the port (by default in my Mac ESDR3 is was 50001).

I can connect my TCI-MQTT-GW to it and get all TCI stack: vk6nx.net/images/ESDR3/ss001.png

This is an Alpha release, it is not fully functional. The process is you list the issues, complete the bug report form at eesdr.com/en/software-en/bug-report and send to EE so that they can compile all the reports from us and build up ESDR3 as it goes through Alpha to Beta. There is one obvious error, TCI starts on the wrong port and has to be manually reconfigured. After that it is still a bit strange though. Swisslog connects ok, SDC connects ok but does not detect the CW mode hence the skimmer does not execute. JTDX crashes. But it is only day 1.
