As for the programme not shutting fully: a few of us have noticed that, and I have submitted a bug report. In the mean time, after you have closed SSDR3 you can go to Task Manager in Windows and shut it down there.

Don't forget there is a new way to start it now. The radio chooser is what you are launching. If you try it again you will get an error. After closing ESDR3, go back to the chooser to re-start the SDR software. This is explained in the pre-launch videos. Of course you could be seeing a different problem.

On macOS I have tried everything but no chance to get ExpertSDR3 to run. The software opens but nothing more. Very unfamiliar and cumbersome in terms of settings the new interface. I prefer to wait for a version that can also update the firmware.

In my case the launcher is hidden and even the icon is in the tray it want to start again. The only solution is to kill through the task manager.

I finally got SDR3 to briefly work. No PTT for SSB, but I was able to send CW. Is there an options menu? The rate of panadaptor change nearly sent me into a seizure (similar to the old JA cartoons that had the same effect). Also, none of my radio controls work.......

When could we expect a working version? at least buttons and VFO, as off now not much use ´.CW does not work (only with firmware 9, but then ESDR 2 does not work in cw so not much use of that FW upgrade.

Basing on previous experience, typical EE's software release roadmap (from Alpha to Release) fits into 6-8 months timeframe.
Within given period we may expect few versions of Beta (typically 4-5) and RC (up to 9).

Roman said earlier, that ESDR3 development is almost twice faster comparing to ESDR2, due to newer framework. However, developers have to practically re-create all ESDR2 feature set from ESDR2 into ESDR3, and work on enhancements at the same time. So do not expect this to be speedy wheels.

New alpha with bug fixes and a couple of new functions will be available until the end of June.
We'll add E-Coder support, DSP for TX filter, support of the MB1 front panel, PTT, and most likely some other features along the way.

I own a SunSDR2DX and Expert 1.3 K PA. I am very interested in ALC so that the two equipments can work correctly in tandem.
I tried to limit the power in the software but there are still some peaks that give the input override error for PA (even if I set the input power for an output power to 60%).

I also tested the QRO with Icom7300 and FT DX 3000 and it works perfectly, without the "over driving input" error, even if the input power of the transceiver is at 100%.

I look forward to implementing ALC in ExpertSDR3, as you promised.

The Output DRIVE NOPR the TUNE power sliders are LINEAR BY ANY MEANS

if your thinking 60% is roughly 60 watts that is not the case!
Also bear in mind that ALC is NOT A UNIVERAL SETTING, every manufacture has Different settings regarding ALC there is No set standard
this is why ACOM does not fool with ALC

Dear Richard,
I was talking about 60% of 1k3. I don't know where you got 60W?
I also greet Roman who thanked you.
