If you are testing ESDR3 I recommend that you disconnect any active receiving antenna you might have connected. In ESR3 the default TX antenna is A2 which is where my RX antenna is usually connected. Even if you reconfigure the TX antenna using the B.M button, it doesn't always work. On 10m when TX is set to A3, the transmitted RF comes out of A2. On other bands it does work.

Wouldn't want anyone blowing up an expensive receive antenna.

Thanks for the tip...no active Rx antenna here..but youve solved a problem for me..
I couldnt get my Rx Preamp to work between Rx Out and ADC In (Ant connected to A3). I've tried it with Ant connected to A2 and it works as expected. Looks like there are a few antenna port switching gremlins in EESDR3..

I have just tested all TX-capable bands in my setup (macOS 10.15.7 SunSDR2 non Pro) and found the following issues on 17M, 15M, 10M and (potentially) 6M:
Conditions:
- either (A3 or A2) is set to TX and
- both Ant are on dummy load via ext power meter and
- Tune set to max value and
- mode is CW
Issue:
- TX Ant registering random RF power in between 60-350mW. Value is band dependent, max value on 10M (approx 350mW), then 17M (approx 220mW), then 15M (approx 120mW) and 6M (not sure, close to my ext power meter minimum, but it still detects around 60mW)

Bug report logged.

@G4ENZ, thanks for finding it and sorry about your antenna. Could you, please, log your own bug report to make sure we have covered max available HW.

Hi Pavel,

My first post regarding the antenna switching issue was early in my exploration of ESDR3. Later I went back to systematically step through all bands and B.M combinations. Guess what? I couldn't reproduce the issue that I had observed on 10m. I won't log this as a bug until I am able to reproduce it at will.

Fortunately, I did not toast my Wellbrook loop. :so_happy:
