Here's a question for the ESDR3 programmers:

Assuming it exists, would it be useful to distribute a debug version of ESDR3 to authorized testers? I would be more than happy to submit logs to help your programmers better understand existing bugs.

If no debug version exists, are there perhaps any log files generated with the current Alpha release that your programmers could use to help pinpoint an issue?

I too would like to test the early releases of the software. (Alpha/Beta). e.g. Report a bug - Is it fixed feedback etc.

But we would need a much stronger level of versioning.

I have raised the versioning question several times with the EE team but to be honest, I still don't think they agree with my suggestions. Not sure why this is the case.

As a minimum, any code release should have V xxx YYYYMMDD.

Actually Tom

They had been including a version Number of the Alpha besides the standard release
However, in this most recent V3 0.10.0 they seem to have left that out again
In the previous V3 0.9.0 they did include a revision number at the end of the file name-

Hope you've been seeing that: eesdr.com/en/software-en/bug-report
and that: eesdr.com/en/forum-en/expertsdr/9436-new-bugreport-system-for-v3-alphas-please-submit-issues-through-that-system#20079

Versioning: no idea what happened with expanded info within latest alpha. It might be missing just because 0.10.0 is actually first release of 0.10 and there was thinking it does not require further version expansion (because it might be first and last 0.10 and next will be 0.11, for example).

Nope this is second release for this v3 0.10.0 as I had one 2 weeks before the posted version as a tester and asked if different and the answer was yes there has been a couple changes, so that should have had a version number tagged

We've added the build number for intermediate versions when you press the "I" button near the Settings wheel.
But the final version published on the website won't have the build number.
