Hi.
I try to connect my 2DX to sdr3, but I get "lost connection".
Everything works fine in sdr2. I have updated my firmware in sdr3 so
it should be good to go. Firewall is open also. Any idea how to get it to work?
Thanks
LA0GE

Hello.
Try the steps described on this page - github.com/ExpertSDR3/ExpertSDR3-BUG-TRACKER/discussions/118

First of all, try direct connection between PC and TRX.
Or try USB-to-Ethernet net card.

Hi Rome.
Thank you very much for info. Is there much difference in the way
sdr2 and sdr3 connects the 2dx to lan? Everything is working fine with sdr2.
I feed the lan cable from the 2dx into one of two ports on my TP-LINK wireless
"hockey puck" and it worked without any problems in cqww wpx cw now this weekend (sdr2)
The TP-LINK gives out it´s own IP which is different than my wireless main router, but as said
it works just fine in sdr2. Sdr3 also works on my wireless network and my macbook pro connected wireless to TP-LINK.
I get no sound, but everything else works.

Hello Bent.
1. There is a difference in data exchange and connection protocols between ESDR2 and ESDR3.
Nevertheless, ESDR3 uses new firmware and software, thus could be unstable and still requires refining.
2. Overall, we recommend using a LAN connection between TRX and PC, WLAN could cause lags and brings an element of instability.

Hi Rome
Ok I have now attached the 2DX to a usb to lan adapter and reset the radio.
No luck so far. I can not even press the ON button in the software.
IP adress in the radio is default. No matter what I do I can not get anothe IP
to stick in SDR3.

What is the IP of your PC/Mac where you are running the EESDR instance? If you're on a different subdomain from the SunSDR2DX, they will not be able to see each other. For starters, you will need to get on the same subdomain to set things up.

I have been successful, using LAN, in changing from SDR2 to SDR3 and it keeps the same router Ip address.
No issues in connecting.

You mention on V2 it is/was working correctly
Sounds like a Reset is in order, its listed in the user guide.

Refer to this if you need a refresher

afterwards make sure your using correct firmware as well

Hi.
SDR3 has no problem finding the radio when I start sdr3, but it just will not connect to the 2DX.
I had it running like a champ all weekend with sdr2 in cqww wpx, but no chanse with sdr3.
I followed Rome's instructions and got a usb-ethernet adapter and have connected the
2DX directly into the adapter. Still no luck....

N8SDR yes I have followed the instructions in the video and I have reset it, but still nothing.
The network here consist of the following...
Broad band router from cable company into TP-LINK M9 wireless ufo's.
PC is connected with cable to the TP-LINK and 2DX is connected to pc with the usb-ethernet adapter.

2 Things to try and see if it allows full connection and starting of the radio

1 Run the EESDR application as an ADMIN
2 Check or for testing purposes- turn off firewall and any A/V ( if it connects afterwards then add an exception rule) and don't forget to turn Firewall and A/V back on

Its possible a recent O/S update or an A/V update has blocked connection

Update!!!!
Everything is now working as it should.
I got help from a friend who is an network expert.
The problem was my usb-ethernet adapter was somehow locked in public network mode
even if it showed up as private. He changed the settings via powershell and now it is working
fine.
Thanks for all suggestions and help.

Hello All

I had the same problem with an USB-Ethernet TPLink UE300
i have changed Public by Private and everything is OK now with the last alpha version 0.13.0

this is the 2 PowerShell command :

Get-NetIPConfiguration
Set-NetConnectionProfile -InterfaceAlias Ethernet -NetworkCategory "Private"

TU LA0GE for info about the solution
Jo F6CTT

PS: With the same network setup i had no problem with the alpha version 0.12.1
The TPlink card is directly connected to the Sunsd2Pro
The Ethernet internal card RealTek of the PC is connected to the router
