TOPIC: Power supply voltage

Power supply voltage 18 Apr 2021 18:36 #1

I have see comments that the low output power was due to the power supply voltage, which should be 15V for full output. However, in a product comparison tabel on this web site I see the following:
SunSDR2 QRP: 12V
SunSDR2 PRO: 15V
Sun SDR2 DX: 13.8V
Question: the DX version can't handle 15V?

Hi,

Please refer to page 14 of the SunSDR2 DX user manual.

You must make sure that you check the power coming to the SunSDR2 DX with a voltmeter, because the display in the ExpertSDR2 software does not show correctly.

The SunSDR2 DX shows in the ExpertSDR2 software about 0.5V less than actually arrive.

I have connected this voltmeter with Powerpole connectors between power supply and SunSDR2 DX:

Hi Mathias,

Thanks for the info. It is just confusing to see that there are different messages. I will make sure I will not go over 13.8V with the DX version.
