Looking at the block diagram of the SunSDR2 DX, it appears that the ALC is implemented as a digital loop, probably going to an ADC which is read by the microcontroller, which in turn controls the output power. If this is correct, do we know what the latency is of the ALC response to input until output power is adjusted? (in miliseconds)

Or, is the ALC implemented as an analog loop direct into the PA board?

Thanks.

I also read a lot of cautionary statements regarding ALC in the SunSDR2 - has anyone tried using the ALC and does it work? Does the ALC work without EESDR or will it only work when EESDR is functioning? Thanks.
