Just a quick question, what temperature are you guys seeing down in the left corner on ESDR2 when running digital modes? I have my fans set to "low speed". Now it shows around 55 degrees after operating for a while. I think it was a little bit lower before I changed the processor, but not sure...

Hans LA9AKA,

Its all there as of today, was quite a fun project to rebuild the shack (Hamzilla had to be reloaded) and install and implement the radio as well as make shack improvements. As of a few hours ago, I am there alas.

Here is where I ended up:
MB1 external HD and CD Drives
1 External Monitor
HF Hex Beam and G5RV
VHF antenna

Software and Connections

Ethernet Com Port to Main PC
Hard wired Audio from Daw 1 (for MIc) Audio Processing via Firewire Presonus & Live 9 (needed for Real Time Audio) to MB1 Mic one through a hum reducer and a couple of isolaters
Hard wired audio to the PC via DAW 2 - I do receive audio processing via VST plugins using Reaper 64
Ham Radio Deluxe and IP Server
DM780 via HRD
CommCat via HRD

Skimmer, DX Monitor, Google Earth is run off a QS1R and shares main antenna (Hex Beam) and a DX Engineering RTR 1A shuts off feed to the QS1R during the MB1 Xmit.

Here is a short video

There are some other videos there, but not very good, I will make some better ones with my Nikon camera and wide angel lens on a tripod so I can share better.

Glad to hear the CPU upgrade went well that's exciting news for all!

Hello Hans Christian - using JT65 for 30 minutes non-stop (50 seconds TX, 80 seconds RX cycle), I get a maximum of 53C. This is in a room with ambient temperature of about 20C. I have the fans in auto mode. Unfortunately there is no way to determine the component relationship that totals the reported temperature, CPU and/or RF device. I suspect the new processor does not add to the reported temperature because the stressed i5-6400t runs hotter than the i7-6700t in normal conditions. So your 55C may only be due to ambient room temperature or because you have the fan speed set to 'low'. See if 'auto' improves things. Either way, 55C is way below the maximum that both the CPU and RF devices can withstand so don't get nightmares over it!!

Hello Sir
I received my MB1 10 days ago and I'm very excited

I already upgrade to a Samsung 970 pro 512 for the ssd
BUT I HAVE SOME PROB WITH THE i7-7700T upgrade

YOU TOTALLY RIGHT when you say you need to upgrade to F6 (at least) for the i7-7700T to boot
I Know that because I change 3 times to i7 and the MB1 is nopt booting ...so I have to come back 3 times to i5
FYI I find the BIOS F9 and F10 and gigabytes website but received a error when I try to install
HOW DO YOU DO THIS BIOS UPDATE ON THIS MDH11HI-SI ???
GRGRGRRGRGR I lost 3 days trying this update !!!!

Thanks for your answer
