Please find your guide to memory and CPU upgrades. Feel free to make comments and suggestions. This is a first draft. If someone with an unaltered MB1 could please download and run performance test on the MB1, I would greatly appreciate it and we can put the before after comparison in the back of the guide. www.passmark.com/ftp/petst.exe

NI0Z OFFLINE Posts: 27 Thank you received: 8	I would also like to note that a very small temperature increase was realize, it's negligible by just about 2-3 degrees C.. CPU usuage per Expert SDR moved from about 45-50 percent down to 13-17 percent with the radio software running. The system remains extremely stable with the latest release of ExpertSDR, KUDOS to the EE software team!

g0cgl OFFLINE Erik EI4KF / G0CGL Posts: 390 Thank you received: 206	If you have a 4th generation or later MB1 with F6 or later BIOS, you can install the i7-7700t. If you have a 3rd generation MB1 you are limited to the i7-6700t. The only exception to this is if you upgrade the F5 BIOS to F6 or later. If you are unsure of the generation / PCB revision, check with Roman before committing to the expense to avoid the risk of obtaining an incompatible CPU. Erik.
