GE MB1 Community,
I have the Expert MB1 and also an SPE 1.3K-FA amplifier. I normally run the amplifier at about 1000 to 1100 watts. I do not use the amplifier for FT8. But I do notice that if I am operating a CW contest that the output power after a period of time will drop about 25 to 50 watts. I must admit I am not that knowledgeable when it comes to amplifier fundamentals.
But is there any setting within EESDR that I can get a more consistent output without it dropping in power after a period of time. Any help or advice on this would be very much appreciated.

Hi,
You are running cw contest at max power settings I assume.
Do you have the amp fan mangement set to CONTEST?
Ceck all coax contacts and cables for any signs of warmup by hand.
Could be a bad connection or cable.
Do you have antennas with traps?
