MB1 Owner one year later… 26 Jul 2022 23:41 #1

I am new to Expert Electronics products and a year ago after a lot of research I sold all my FlexRadio equipment and decided I wanted to build my dream station around the MB1 transceiver so I ordered the MB1 Prime 2021 model.

I have wanted to make my station as compact as possible and yet not give up performance and features and the MB1 is perfect for this task. The combination of a state of the art SDR Radio and one of the most powerful PC computers available for it’s size makes the MB1 a true powerhouse!

It’s been a year now and I love this radio as it handles anything you give it. The build quality is very impressive as it is made of all metal and buttons are lighted and feel great as does all the controls. I have connected a single 43”inch/109cm 4K display connected to the MB1 and can run all my other software programs and see everything at the same time in 4K resolution!

I still run V2 ESDR as it currently has the best support for the specialized hardware features of the MB1, I have experimented with beta versions of V3 and it’s amazing but I will wait until more of the MB1 capabilities are implemented.

There are few shortcomings with this radio but any of them should be addressed in the new ESDR V3 software that will be available in the near future. Overall this is the finest transceiver I have ever owned and look forward to what the future brings.
