I am new to the forum and recently acquired a SunSDR2 PRO. I am making a PTT cable for my BLA600 amplifier PTT input (close to ground system with your typical RCA phono plug input). Electronics is not my strong point so I was hoping to get some advice on the construction of the cable.
I have a breakout box for the 15 pin connector on the SDR2, and was planning to follow the "Connection Diagram of the SunSDR2 PRO transceiver with a Power Amplifier" provided on the EE website that shows PIN 15 as ground ( I assume to the outer conductor of phono cable), and PIN 13 to the inner conductor of the phono cable. Is the diode required and what is the recommended value?
Is this the correct way to build the PTT PA cable?
Thank you for your help.
