I have had my SunSDR2 DX for two years now, so you know I am not new to EEsdr products. Other than a few minor issues which I have been able to resolve, it has performed beyond my expectations. I decided to purchase a PRO to 1) support EEsdr in these difficult times and 2) to have another device that I can use with the SDR3 software.
I received my PRO yesterday and was able to connect to it and set the IP address to conform with my network. I then installed SDR3 and when connected I proceeded to update the firmware. The firmware manager window came up with the message "preparing..." and the LED started flashing. After 15 minutes I was suspicious and after 30 minutes I was sure there was a problem. The led continued flashing and after an hour I shut it down. Having successfully done updates with my DX, I was sure something had gone seriously wrong. Several attempts at power cycling and the unit LED only flashes and connection is not possible. I have tried the "reset" the "deep reset" and the boot loader mode (with esdr2) with no success.
Is it time to send it back to the dealer for a replacement?
