1.Button to switch between RX and TX antenna. This is handy when you use TX antenna on A3 and RX antenna on A2.

2.Tick of box in software for: When you switch from I.E 20m to 15m band the output power is set back to “nominal” output power I.E 5 watt. This is very useful when you use external amplifier so you don’t overdrive the input after band changes.

3. I try to test remote function on my local network however, when I try to connect using the connect button the program is closing down. Not sure if this function is not activated yet but same problem happens on two different computers.

Thanks for the wishes.
1. Good wish - we will make it in new version of software.

2. Transceiver has two way for external PA.
a) Options--Device--Expert--Power Correction
You can set different maximum output power(Drive=100%) for each band. In this case your Ext. PA can not be overloaded.
b) You can set off checkbox Main window--MON-menu--Don't save drive by band and mode.

3. This function (Options--Manager--Connect) used for synchronisation between two Expert Devices, for example: Local SunSDR2 and remote ColibriDDC. Will be synchronized frequency tunning and mode.
For working remotely in one local net with one device, you not needs any remote control functions. You need simply make LAN connection between SunSDR2 and PC. Start ExpertSDR2 and use it like you do it usual. Sound card menu and Mic PC menu can be used for microphone connection.

Hi Vassil

Thanks for clarification. As of today I use my SUNSDR via my own LAN. Radio is located in the shack and Computer / software is in the house 40 meter away, that is all working great. I have found a solution for the delay problem when using CW and your local soundcard.
When you are by the radio and have sound directly from Radio / output all is ok. However, when you use the soundcard option the delay is to long for Normal CW and its getting very acrobatic to-do CW.
I "accidently" found that if I use a USB headset instead of the internal soundcard in the computer the delay in CW is nearly non existent, so now I enjoy working CW from the house :good:

Is there a timeframe on when the remote function via internet is ready for testing ?.

You should understand that delay in the usual sound card will be 200-600 ms.
How to decrease delay? Answer: ASIO(prefer) or WDM-KS driver in the soundcard. Small buffer size for soundcard - as small as possible.
Note: ASIO drivers are supported only by professional sound cards, but some times usual sound cards can use ASIO4ALL driver. You should to try it.

It would be very helpfull if Expertsdr2-Software could communicate via DDE with my sattrack program.

I use WXtrack for Satellite tracking on 2m and the only way to pair SDR-Software with WXTrack is over DDE.

I would like to see DDE also. Not necessarily for sattrack or WXTRACK, but other programs.

Yes, I agree. A universal DDE would be better.

Yes, DDE is old but the defacto interface standard for antenna rotors. There are two formats: Nova and Orbitron.

Not sure it can be done, because we are developing crossplatform software and we are can not use special windows features. We plans to create special open LAN protocol soon, which can be used for control and data exchange between software(Loggers, Skimmers, PA, etc.). Also may be some one will create a special utillite-bridge between our new protocol and DDE for rotators.
