I have an EB 300 and it works great with the sun sdr 2 pro. I wish the 500 watt version and the lcd display was out when I bought mine. the Amp has plenty of protection ie. Current, SWR, Power output. I have not blown it up but at times I have tripped the protection circuts for all 3 protection states. In my opinion these amps are built very well, look atractive and perform excellent.

Hi Rick,
Thank you for the feedback.
I have got 500W version, amplifier arrived just before Christmas :)
So far so good. I'm happy with it.
If you did not get the model with bigger screen you not really missing much.
There very little on it. Just the main screen with barographs, there should me more option in there.

Obviously I would not me be myself if I did not tear it a part to see what is inside.
I thinking about adding couple more options in to the screen like antenna switch, attenuator etc.
There is plenty of room inside and it should be easy to add extra boards with additional antenna socket and maybe even ATU board.

I' have 1.2K EB104 for 4 years already. Was modified by EB104 to run from 2-5W. No issues.

I just replaced the screen/card with my own home-brew based on ESP32. Actually the new boards just about to arrive in a few days. Can share the code if you wish.

github.com/VK6NX/EB104-PA-Control

Please note:
- most important - code is not "clean-clean". There are some leftovers from testing and other stuff, ask question if in doubt. But it is all working, I posted current version running on my PA now.
- You need KiCad (free tool) to read schematics.
- Code is in PlatformIO format.
- ESP32-WROOM-32U/D tested
- ADS1115 "blue color" board used (like this one)
- SPI display can be any ST7735 (I use SPI 1.8 TFT Display with ST7735), can be even Nextion with minimum code adjustments
- BME or BMP temperature sensor is the "purple" or "blue" board (from EBAY), or you can use DS20B18
- Code set to send updates via MQTT (I use my own application for it)

Nice one Pavel,
MQTT is the way to go.
Code looks very simple.
My one will run on Xmega128A3u and capacitive display from 4D Systems.
Im also thinking about adding the antenna tuner inside the amp.
Can you tell me how big are your new tuner boards?

Thanks, mate, yes code is very simple. Actually I started to make my own PA control, because none from EB that time (do not know now) included any temperature protection. Have embedded temp sensor and starting/stopping cooling + switch off PTT if temperature become too high. TBH, display I have added just to fill the hole in the box :)

Re ATU, boards arrived today unexpectedly and I posted today photos with dimensions in the topic, have a look. Should fit in the pipe with 150 mm did and 220 mm length.

I have pipe version of the tuner, made around 10 years ago. It was published on Polish homemade forum.
http://sp-hm.pl/thread-520.html (google translate will help )
But it is only 100W version.
After looking it to the EB500 there is plenty of room inside, the 1KW ATU version from UR3IQH should fit in there without issue.

I have the EB1200 and the 1kw 144MHz amp from the EB104 guys too. I love them both and they work perfectly with the SDR2 Pro here. I had to remove the 10dB attenuator on the EB1200 to allow the sufficient input drive from the Sun but no problem and its happy.
Time will tell I guess how they stand up.
