Hello I have an MB1 radio coupled to an OM2000+ amp and it's producing a lot of IMD on my transmission, I am planning to put a RF adaptive predistortion coupler to get rid or minimize the IMD, have anyone used this and will this work on the MB1?
Check that you aren't driving the audio level over 0db, I keep it to about -6db generally.
Ensure you are loading the amplifier properly and that you are tuning for max power out and reducing drive to desired output and not increasing drive while under loaded.
There is no adaptive pre-distortion for these radios, there's nothing for the signal from the RF coupler to go to.
My SDR2 DX is very clean output...unless I mistakenly overdrive the audio levels and they indeed get very dirty when people do that. I have seen it many times with people I know that also run a Sun rig.

I own an MB1 and I can assure you that when run correctly it produces a very clean signal even without pre-distortion. But like Chris is saying it is critical that you don’t overdrive the mic level or amplifier and that your amplifier is tuned correctly to have the cleanest signal possible. And this is true with any radio or amplifier.
Pre-Distortion will be available for most Expert Electronics radios including the MB1 in the near future with a Firmware Update.
