Hi group!

My 70Mhz PA is soon ready to try on the air. But I have encountered one problem :wall: How do I actually PTT the PA from the MB1? I have spoken to a few others with the PRO2 and they said some time ago that I could use the X8 switch on the DB9 control port. But when I look at things now, it is not possible to enable X8 on 4m. Because 4m does not exist as a band in the MB1. Any ideas on what to do? I'm stuck...

I have of course done the 4m TX modification from EE.

Please tell us what is the 4m TX modification? Seems to be a secret.

Erik,

You have to mail EE and they will send you instructions on how to do it. You also have to sign a document stating that you are not allowed to give out the instructions etc. Do you have any idea on how to get a PTT signal from the MB1 for this band? It will be mainly FT8 that will be used, if it was SSB I could control PTT with my foot switch.

OK but since MB1 users are unlikely to have made this modification, and are gagged about sharing the details even if they have, surely it should be to EE that you direct any question pertaining to it.
