This is hopefully something simple that I am over looking. How do I transmit with the second receiver?

Example

1 Receiver is on 40m
2 second receiver is on 20m

I don’t seem to be able to make the radio transmit using receiver 2. MOX and VOX both work. My issue is giving it focus when I key the mic? :?

Regards

Neil

I am wondering the same thing. I can only get the RX 2 to transmit by clicking on the MOX button or use the tune button. Anyone know of a way or is this the way it is?

Hi, all.
TX priority is always on RX1.
1. If your footswitch is connected directly in the TRX, the only way to TX on the RX2 frequency is to assign the MOX shortcut in the Shortcuts menu.
2. If the footswitch is connected to the E-Coder panel, there is a possibility of switching the TX priority to RX2.

Great explanation......

I was just thinking how to explain that simple and strate forward...There is also CAT way....
But Rome you "hit the correct button". :-)

This is interesting!
In contests I would like to use SO2V or SO2R mode. I understand that only one antenna can be used but is it possible to swap the Rx/Tx antenna combination between different bands. I have one dipole for 80m band, a vertical 40m to 6m bands fot Tx/Rx plus Rx only antenna 80m to 10m. Antenna coax cables can be switched by a 2x6 relay switch by a banddecoder.
Logging software is N1MM+ or DxLog.net that have keyboard functions for these modes. Any ideas using Eesdr2 and Rx1 plus Rx2 and preferably use antenna A2 and A3 for this. :unknown:

I am also wondering if or how TCI plus SDC can do SO2R. I have the E-coder

Thank you Eric. I will get more deep into that diagram. I am also thinking that TCI/SDC will be able to get it working with the new functions for sharing the E-coder between two RXs and the OTRSP for headphone audio. The main difference will be one operator/one PC/ two RX/one E-coder/one keyboard/one mouse
We will find out after som trial/error work.

Hi folks,

I use DXlog and have managed the transmit-problem by swapping rx1 to rx2 and back ("CTRL-S" with shortcut to F10).
So I can switch the amplifier (Expert 1k5) and use the sunsdr in a SO2R-like-scenario without interlock-problems.
Other solutions need 2 bandpass-filters like dunestar. This will be tried in the future if SDR3 will be ready for duplex.
Audio balance is done by the mixer in the sunsdr-software. Louder audio on RX1 will be swapped to RX2 too, so you listen the working frequency louder.
All that is very simple but working fine.

Marcus, canyou pleasd be a little more detailed, I am using DXLog.
With * button one is swapping Radio1 to Radio2 in DXLog. In Esdr2 it is possible to define cat com ports for Rx1 and Rx2 but how do manage to transmit on Radio 2

Hi Eric,
I think there is a misunderstanding: SunSDR2-software does not allow a real SO2R/duplex yet. That is supposed to come in V3. Simultaneous transmit is not ready yet.
I have experienced with dxlog in SO2R-mode with 2 keyboards to control both rx, each one as a separate radio. COM-connection is done for both RX like described in UMA, it makes both rx compatible as separate radios in dxlog. Remember that COM is a pair, so COM5 in the sdr will be COM6 in dxlog. CW/keying is done via DTR/RTS. When I want to transmit on the 2nd radio/rx I swap the radios with CTRL-S (or shortcut F10), grab the multi and swap back to the 1st radio/rx for CQ. That's it. All radio-control is done via E-Coder.

Still it is actually more like SO2V but without dunestar, extra so2r-controller, microham-boxes etc. I am sure that the real SO2R will come, but filters are needed.

I love SunSDR with its integrated skimmer, that makes it very easy. SDC is a great software, but I use it only used for skimmer and its / cluster-integration for dxlog. COM-spider is not needed for this constellation.

If you habe any questions, mail me.

Hello,

I am wondering how it is possible to automatically switching the antennas following second receiver ?
Any ideas are welcome!
