That was what I was looking for, thank you, Erik! I'm using a cabled connection to my MB1. I will check if my router can do this. If I can wake it up from hibernate, that's a good compromise I think.

Excellent, I ordered a gigabit LAN USB 3.0 adapter with wake on lan capabilities now.

Thank you!

OK - I hope it works. Let us know. Here it is unreliable. You may recall, when we first discussed this, I said it sometimes would work and sometimes not. But still, has to be worth a try.

Erik.

Hi guys.
Ricardo here (PY2PT / PX2A) and im really interested in this situation you are talking about: how to turn on the mb1 in a remote situation after a power loss as we do with all our regular computers.
Even with an IP power strip we should keep the power supply button switched on

Regards

Ricardo

Ricardo,

I have another post in here somewhere with pictures how I solved this. I soldered a wire across the on/off switch and connected it to an Ethernet controlled relay. Works really well! My email address is on qrz, you can email me for details if you want.

Maybe put an ip remote switch with a mechanical solenoid like a microbot, smart switch or similar gadget.
