I'm testing the new versions of servers and remote clients in 64 bits and 32 bits combinations running with windows 10 64 bits and ouput power it's always 0 watts in my sunsdr2 pro.

The new PA button work ok. But I haven't power ouput for TX.

DNS-name rather then IP-adress of remote radio? 30 Sep 2018 05:03 #5

Today one has to put in the IP-adress (and port) of the remote site in the remote client SW.

This is a pain if you are running a Internet service at the remote site where the IP-adress is changing all the time ( mobile Internet access ).

If one could adress a DNS-name rather the IP-adress one could us a DynDNS-type service.

Any plans to implement DNS-name rather the IP-adress ??

Hi Tilman

in the version "1.3.0 alpha 2" is DNS-Name implemented.
- Options
- Device
- Network
- Adress: xyzabc123.xyz:50501
if the address and the port are correct, a green OK appears behind the address

Hello,
I don't want to make a fool out of myself, but I had the same problem and the solution was, I picked the wrong Mic!
So there was no audio at the Mic selected in the software, therefore I had no modulation and 0 power!

Just a quick note and maybe it was just me, making this foolish mistake.

Thanks for the reply. I do not think I have selected the wrong Mic. It does not even work with the tune key

At some point with a previous version of server/client I actually could get some power out.

But - I cannot remember what version/combo it was.
Anyway, im deeply impressed by the SW and possibilities with it.

So looking forward to a resolution. And of course, it would be great to have teh possibility to select the antenna used.

Has been a bit back and forth on possibilities with TX on remote.

Any news / timelines on when we can expect this function. RX is ok and Im pleased with it. Though I miss the possibility to use a RPi for the server. Running the RS beta on a Window-box.

Pls shed some light to where we are. / SM0JZT Tilman
