Hello Expert Electronics / Roman,

I wonder what the road map ahead is for remote. With the latest RS 0.6.4 and the latest RC 1.3 seems to work fine on my end, good job there. Are there any plans for: Split, VFO B, CW with break in from Ecoder, Antenna selections etc.

Thanks

Hi, Rune.

Approximately in a couple of months, we'll get back to work on the ExpertRemote system, only at that moment we'll think about a road map and publish it on our website.
I'll inform everyone about it via newsletter.

OOOOHHHHPSSS

Looks like someone has removed the remote SW from the homepage.... Used to find it under "other software".

Where have you moved it and could you please update us on status of the software progress ??

Hi Roman,

I might have missed it but regarding future road map for remote i found this from a different topic
" Hi, Tilman.
We'll start to work on the Remote system right after the release of the ESDR2 1.3.0, thus in 3-4 weeks.
We plan to fix all knows bugs and make some small improvements (as fast as possible), then return to work on ESDR2 1.3.1."

Is this now ongoing ?

Hi, Rune.
Of course, we still plan to work on the remote software, but a bit later, at the moment we are actively implementing a tunable notch filter.

Hi there
I can see that the remote server now has a update to 0.65 !! That Is probably great news.
Extra great news and interesting is that the server seems to be available also for LINUX !!!

So that should indicate a go ahead for the Rpi ??

Im out on a look out for release notes and also for info on changes to the client software.

Over all - Great news that remote systems now is on the move for the future.

Hi, Tilman.
In 0.65 we've fixed lots and lots of bugs, haven't added anything new.

After the release of the transverters (this December), we'll get back to work on the remote software with full power, new server, client, everything.

I can confirm this good news.
Running 0.65 on a Win10 PC since some week now. All good and no restart of the server app !!
Im running a SunSDR2 Pro

I would love to give it a go with the server on a Raspberry Pi. I can see there is a LINUX-version. But Im not sure whether it will be good for a Rpi

Hi Rome,
a question - RS works fine is now, on for a week without a hitch. The RC is a different story. We are two guys in different places (one with W10pro (me) the other with W7pro) connecting (not at once) to the same pro on RS and both our clients tend to freeze. The radio is working, but the screen is stuck. It happens more often on W10 but does happen on both. Is it known property ?

Looking forward to the new client. The existing one is really only a very poor cousin to the regular sw.

Jiri
