I have a friend in the hospital in Sweden and I would like to give him access to my MB1 in California. He has a windows laptop and good internet in the hospital.
If this is possible, what is the simplest way to get him connected? I have the server configured and running on my MB1. I am a newish ham and novice with windows.
Please advise. Thanks for any help.
Steve

If I understand correctly:
My QTH
Start MB1 and ESDR3 but don't start radio
Run Starter.exe and minimize

Friends QTH
Start ESDR3
Go to 3rd dot Remote login
Enter my login info and password
choose my MB1 and turn it on

Generally speaking, yes

Radio itself needs to be on,

Not sure if you read entire release notes regarding Remote and MB1, So I'm copying and pasting here:
If it were mine, when he wants to remote use, I would make sure I'm close by the rig if something doesn't seem correct
Rember this is still ALPHA, Use at your own risk

New features in ERS:
• Implemented TX mode for ERS (CW transmission is not supported yet). Transmission with
MB1 is unstable,
will be fixed in the software release version. To work in TX mode via ERS,
you should select the MicPC in the software.
Please do not email me and ask for help I no longer will be part of this, If I could delete /remove my profile I would do so.

Thank you Rick. He's just going to be listening around to start with.

Then use the web browser version for remote -

Then you won't have to worry about TX

Monitoring via a Web Browser
