Since last year I am using the CW Skimmer Server together with the Colibri SDR and the provided DLLs. From the first day on this setup provides spots, but the spots are less and weaker (lower db value) compared to my SDR transceiver.

Now I have setup new Win10 64bit PC. I have installed the CW Skimmer Server and the provided DLLs. After 5 min I have the following received stations:

Now the big question:
  • Why are there so many spots more when the CW Skimmer is directly connected to the Expert SDR software and not via the CW Skimmer Server?
  • Why are all reports about 10-20db stronger compared to the CW Skimmer Server?

I have tried this scenario a couple of times. The result is always the same. The CW Skimmer Server always decodes less spots that then CW Skimmer connected to the Expert SDR2 software. Also the attenuator settings do not have an effect on the result.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
