I welcome the continued progress in software development, but wish to report that the SAME problem I have with the SQL button is also apparent in the latest release.
On EVERY machine I have, operating SQL results in a loud tone from the speaker. To reproduce, click the SQL button, drag the squelch threshold bar on the S meter to the left to open the audio. A loud tone ensues. Click SQL again and the tone goes and receiver noise re-appears, but at full volume, and the volume control has no effect. Only an on/off cycle fixes this.
Others I know also have this problem.
Are we doing something wrong or is this being ignored for some reason? As the audio mute works fine, I can't see the difficulty here.
