ColibriNANO Direct Sampling Receiver S/N EED111800363 with software «ExportSDR2 x64 1.3.0 Alpha2 » can be started and shows in the 20m band with mode SSB with 2,5 kHz band width (NR/NB etc. off) without a connected antenna noise level S3 (-109 dBm). With a connected antenna it also shows S3 noise level and only stations with a higher signal level >S3 are reflected in the waterfall and audio. I have uploaded older software version «ExportSDR2 x64 1.2.0» and analyzed the same issue. Both software versions show in mode SSB with 2,5 kHz band width the S3 level with preamp 0db and/or 6dB setting.

Additional information: without connected antenna, SSB (B=2.5 kHz), Preamp 0 dB, NR/NB/ANF off, AGC Slow, sampling rate 96 kHz, Preamp Auto off, RF 100 dB. In panorama view the noise Level is shown around -121 dBm (this would detect so far noise Level S1). S-meter on the right hand side shows digital numbers around -109 dBm and the S-meter has Level S3.
The conclusion my side: the noise value in panorama view is probably correct, only the S-meter function/value must be taken under investigation.

What is the Minimum Discernible Signal (MDS) of ColibriNANO?
