TOPIC: ColibriNano no audio in SPLIT mode

ColibriNano no audio in SPLIT mode 14 Jun 2020 18:39 #1

HI All, here is another problem with my COLIBRINano. SPLIT use or better activating VFO_B gives no audio of both VFOs.
My rig is an FT1000mkV, as CAT am using OMNIRig and CAT interface is MICROHAM_MicroKeyer.
The audio from the RX goes directly to the pc's input line, not using the audio settings of the MicroKeyer.
All works ok.
Now when I switch-ON the SUB_RX in EESDR panel the second tuning bar appears and runs up&down following the
VFO_B tuning knob, but.... NO AUDIO from EESDR either from VFO_B and VFO_A is OFF , not muted.
The commands B->A , A->B, B<->A are ok.
The TRX audio is ok from both VFOs ....
a pic-crop of my EESDR sound card setting is attached.
Any suggestion please ?

ColibriNano no audio in SPLIT mode -solved 25 Jul 2020 10:22 #2

HI All, sri for the long time to write about.
The solution to my problem in dividing the VFO_A and B channels is to set the two audio mixer cursors option in the MIXER ColibriNano settings.
That function is not clearly written in the user manual and therefore for the beginner_user is difficult to understand.
Maybe an A\B VFO MIXER or A|B Split label would give a better idea of the function and of course its explanation in the manual.

Hi Phil .
I want to ask you one thing off topic
We have same rig and SDR : how do you have resolve issue to prevent overload when you transmit with 1000 MP?
Do you have some particular setup in your shack ?

HI Sandro, about the SDR junction in my rig FT1000FIELD almost same as MP: it is quite at the output of the HF preselector where the RX path is splitted
in to the two receivers streams.
Therefore I have no OVERLOAD in the SDR receiver.
Tha is all...
