Hello

I have a problem as of today when I did a win10 security update expertsdr2 software no longer starts just loading logo when it disappears nothing happens anymore.
I tried to remove today's security updates see pic below without success repeatedly reinstalled expertsdr2 software with administrator rights nothing change.
Uninstall reinstall also M Visual C++ tried to turn off security and firewall the same problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what else can I try?
To mention yesterday, the expert sdr2 on this pc worked perfectly ok.

regards Elvis

Hi, Elvis.
Make sure that ESDR2 is added to the exceptions list of your Firewall, install Visual Studio Redistributable 2017.
We test ESDR2 on the latest Windows versions with the latest updates, it works OK.

Hi, Rome

I’ve tried everything but it doesn’t work.
I installed Visual Studio Redistributable 2017 ver 14.11.25325 then I get an error message.

With the version 14.26.28720 which is installed including expert sdr2 also try the latest 14.28.29325
I have the same problem loading logo starts up disappears then nothing more happens.

Here is a link for the video: www.dropbox.com/s/7uqu263g5hqwdgo/IMG_2740.avi?dl=0
ESDR2 is added to the exceptions list of Firewall I also tried to turn off the firewall and antivirus without success.

At this point, it really doesn’t occur to me what else to try does anyone have any suggestions?

regards Elvis

Hi, Elvis.
Please try to rename your settings folder and launch the software, maybe something is wrong with the settings

Hi, Roman

I have already tried your suggestion as well as I tried to delete the settings folder but I always have the same problem.
After restarting the program, the settings folder is automatically re-created as it should be in AppData.
I checked on another computer what happens if I delete the settings folder or rename it.

For example a program---> ExpertRC 1.3.0 Update1 - Expert Remote Client for Windows is working ok on this pc.

I also tried the 32bit version ExpertSDR2 1.3.1 Update7_ColibriNANO same problem just loading the logo and after this nothing.
With version esdr2 1.2.0, the program starts or opens, but only part of it, see the attached picture.

Since this is my office computer I have no intention of formatting the HDD and reinstalling win to see that then this program will work.
I'm still thinking about what else I could try because it works ok on my home computer so I really don't know what has changed for me on this pc in the security update of windows.

regards Elvis

Hi, Roman

I solved the problem :)
Ever since I connected the physical Nano to the rear USB ports, the program has started ok and is working.
I then plugged it back into the front USB ports and it also works.
The program now works even without the Nano being physically connected.
Now the program works even without the Nano being physically connected as before.

I can probably delete this post.

Hi, Elvis.
Glad the issue is resolved, though I still don't understand the cause of this issue...
Probably the fact that you reconnected the receiver rebooted some driver, hope it'll never return.
