Switch between A2 and A3 when ADC IN is enabled? 26 Sep 2022 06:04 #1

Hello,

I am using the ExpertSDR2 software and I want to install a noise phase canceller between the RX OUT and ADC IN connections to always be active. With this unit installed, I also want to switch between antennas connected to the A2 and A3 antenna connectors using the RX ANT button - with either input signal passing through the connected noise phase canceller. This is for HF only. I am using an EFHW (RX/TX) antenna connected to A2 and an RX-only magnetic loop antenna connected to A3.

From the SunSDR2-DX's block diagram, it seems this should be possible, but the ExpertSDR2 software won't allow it. In order to enable the ADC IN, I have to select ADC IN as an antenna (in the ANT menu) which causes the RX ANT button to only switch between ADC IN and A3. Would it be possible to separate the enabling of the RX OUT / ADC IN external receive signal path from the A2/A3 antenna input selection? Is this functionality available in ExpertSDR3 software?

Thank you.

To use RX OUT and ADC IN select ADC IN in the ExpertSDR2/3, in this case the signal goes:
A2 ANT-> BPF-> RX OUT-> there you put your external BPF/ATT/PREAMP-> RX IN.

Thank you, Roman.

With the ADC IN selected in the ExpertSDR2/3, is it possible to then change the antenna input from A2 to A3 in the software and still route the signal through the external BPF/ATT/PREAMP (through RX OUT / ADC IN)?

Thank you.

Hello Phil.
No, the only way to route signal via RX OUT / ADC IN is with A2 ANT.
