Hi,

I use a RODE NT3 microphone on the SunSDR2 DX, which I control via my Mac. I use a Presonus 3.5. as a speaker. When I want to listen to my audio back with the monitor, I connect headphones to the SunSDR2 DX and disable the speaker.

Unfortunately, this also disables the microphone. It would be very helpful if the speaker and microphone could be enabled or disabled separately. It would also be helpful if the audio sources were selectable without having to open the "Options Menu".

Maybe there is a possibility to change it in the upcoming version.

I'm intrigued by your microphone selection (Rode NT3). Do you have this mic connected directly to your SunSDR2 DX? If so, how? I have an AKG 1000C that I'm interested in trying as my mic, but it requires phantom power (unless I use a battery in the mic - which I'd rather not.)

Bill,
Stand alone phantom supplies are available relatively cheap from most music stores. They simply pass mic audio to the rig and supply 48vdc to the mic.

I connected the Rode NT3 via XLR cable to a Behringer PS400 for phantom power. From the Beringer PS400 goes a Heil Sound CC-1XLRY-BAL adapter cable + Heil Sound AD-MY817 adapter to the MIC2 jack.
