This is a brand new install of SunSDR2 DX running the latest EESDR2 version. The software loads up and runs fine but will only run for about 15 minutes before stopping. It can be easily restarted by pressing the ON button. I am running on a Samsung laptop with i7 processor and 4 cores. It has 8 Gig of installed RAM and supports the Open GL.

The software stops without anything prompting it. It will just stop. I have tried changing the Sample Rate but that does not seem to make any difference.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Does it hang/freeze? Or just stops providing data? Can you turn it off and on again? Might be worth monitoring the system resources to see if it is running out of RAM.

I also have the display, EESDR2 (Ver 1.3.1 Update 11), freeze randomly.
I have gone through the PC and checked all Power management selections to Off,
I need to restart EESDR2.

With mine, I need to hit the ON button again each time to get it going. I should clarify that the spectrum and waterfall stop, but the EESDR2 "framework", perhaps you might say the "platform" is still running so that I only need to hit ON button.

The IP you have shown looks like external IP.
Your internal IP should be 192.168.xxx.xxx when xxx will have a value From 0 to 255
What IP have you assigned to your unit?

Well, that is your decision and the end of the day.
But I'm nearly sure, there was no issue with the unit.

Since the timiong was every 15 minutes as you stated, I'd check to see if one of the power management setting is on, like the disc drive, usb or the Power settings, sleep, etc, arent set to this time.

I also have a New well couple week old now and the latest software version. Mine is doing the same thing. I will keep an eye on the clock now.
I did notice if conditions bandwidth on the LAN can effect it shutting off it does it on WiFi cause of bandwidth limitations, wish I could use WiFi then I'd go sit on the porch with the Laptop and play radio.
Other than that I finally got virtual com's and cables working. Glad I got this device! :yahoo: :music:

I did encounter this with a cisco moiblity express controller based wlan solution. For whatever reason, the primary controller role was flapping back and forth to the AP where the notebook was associated to. Somehow this caused a very short interruption of all network sessions. Usually not noticeable in a web browser session, but with every role change from the AP, ExpertSDR2 lost connection to the SunSDR2. So if you do see this frequently, it's likely an issue with the network connectivity. I've never seen something like this when using a cable, on multiple machines (Linux, Mac and Windows). My "solution" back then was to remove that AP from the list of possible primary controllers, since then I'm also very happy with the Wifi connection to the SunSDR2.
