I updated my SunSDR2 Dx transceiver to EEDR3 alpha 12 today.
All went smoothly, FW updated, and my settings file, mic profiles and power settings, from alpha 11 imported without problem.
I also operated it remotely and this went smoothly as well, no issues.
So far, no comments other than it's working fine and I look forward to the Beta V1 release.
Hopefully being able to transmit on the remote will come soon.

Regards,
Tom W3FRG

I updated my MB1 Prime from EESDR V2 to V3 alpha 0.12 and it seems to be working fine.

I do have one basic request the user interface (UI) needs to have the ability to raise “Application Scale” to minimum of 200% for the MB1. Due to the much smaller screen size than a standard computer monitor it is hard to read the screen.

UI looks beautiful, Spectrum and waterfall run much smoother, Less CPU/GPU load, Lots of new amazing features!

Great work team! God bless you and you families.
Thank you

I am trying to update the firmware in Sunsdr2DX. There is no firmware showing in the Firmware Manager box. I've tried downloading the OSX version a couple of times and the same result. Any suggestions?

Updated the firmware and the software to 0.12. The sample rate only works on 39khz only, The wide FM for Radio broadcast sounds lousy and lost 11m tx.

In my case the FW Version showed up in the window w/o clicking on the FW Box.
I clicked on the new FW Ver and it updated.

I take that this thread is perhaps good place to discuss aspects of newly released EESDR 0.12.0. I installed it along with the firmware and it really looks good. Thank you EE.
There are few observations I have and I am not sure if they qualify as bugs or features which have not yet been ported over from v2.

1. Fixed tuning does not work or I don't know how to enable it. With e-coder tuning, there seems to be a combination of "use IF" and "Zoom center follows VFOA" that enables the Fixed Tuning.
2. "Show filter on waterfall" option is not available (under Display-->Filter options)
3. Is there a way to hide cursor info on demand? Eg turn off "Show filter text" and "Show S-Meter"
4. Changing the CW speed displays the value next to the slider control as you turn the knob on V2. That way you know what CW speed you are selecting. In version 3 this is not displayed with e-coder. The slider moves left and right when you turn the encoder but no CW Speed value is displayed.

Thank you

I have the new firmware installed with no problem as well as the new 0.12.0 Alpha. I am really excited about using Version 3, especially when it is in it's final form. Thanks to EE for their efforts in providing outstanding software for us to "play" with. 73 W4WU

Thanks to Expert Electronics for releasing the new EESDR3 o.12.0 Alpha.
I installed EESDR3 0.12.0 Alpha and it works with no problem. I am glad that RadioSync has replaced the SDC software. The SDC software is a problem when used with EESDR3.
I am thrilled with the performance of SDR3 software.

HI Sam. Can you please elaborate? Is the issue related with RadioSync or SDC? I have some observations regarding RadioSync myself with newly released 12 alpha which I cannot explan. In my case it relates to CW mode and contest loggers which rely on virtual COM ports for keying.

Greetings, Nick.
I used the TCI function in the SDC software for rig interface so that my SteppIR SDA 100 and my ACOM 200A amplifier can follow the SunSDR2dx whenever I change frequency. Both these devices require virtual com ports. I have a separate software for creating virtual com ports.
The SDC software would not allow me to split frequency without many problem developing. There is definitely a problem using the TCI module in SDC with EESDR3.
I was merely noting that I am glad there is an alternative to using SDC, which is the RadioSync software from EE.

Please read and follow the instructions on the EESDR Software page, Download the Remote SW for your system, and after installation download the Server SW, your version
.
Then follow the "ExpertRemote system (ERS) instructions". Located on the same page as the above SW.
Getting the Server, "Starter" file setup correctly is most important.

There are also some videos for this as well.

In EESDR3.0.12.1 I can't find the Ext Ctrl as in EESDR2 (Options|Device|ExtCtrl) to make the settings to control my Expert amplifier. Where can I find those settings?
