Hello
I just installed 1.3.1 Update 3 on an I7 8565U and
16GB Ram SSD and Windows 10. It takes 20 to 40 seconds to boot. with Update 3. With 1.3.1 it was 10 to 12s on the same PC. Previously on an I7 2 ... SSD too, with Windows7 it only took 3, or 4 s. Rome says it comes from QT5 updates. I would like to know the boot time on your PCs. And under Linux? thank you

Just installed 1.3.1 Update 3 on new DX unit. When I try and use 2nd receiver it will stay on the same band as receiver 1. If I have 1st. receiver on 20 meters and try and put the 2nd. receiver on another band(10 meters as an example) the 2nd receiver changes back to 20 meters. The same happens if I try and put receiver 2 on any other band.

Just taken delivery of my shiny new SDR2 DX. Spent yesterday connecting it my PC and making it work and I was pleasantly surprised with the receiver even made a couple of CW Qs last evening, howver this morning had a brainstorm and uninstalled 1.3.1 Upgrade 2 and installed 1.3.1. upgrade 3. Now I have spent all day trying to get the radio to talk to my PC with no success. Could here be any files from upgrade 2 lurking in my PC? I have set the initial IP address to the recommended 192.168.16.50. When I turn on the radio the LED flashed about three times then remains lit. When I ask the PC to discover the radio it doent. The box remains empty.
I have started the PC before the radio - after the radio, I have started the radio before the PC / after the PC, I have even changed the network lead. I have re-booted the PC several times. PC runs windows 10 i have tried administrator mode, turned off the firewall etc. The PC is a Dell with an i7 processor 16GB Ram, SSD hard drive and normally runs quite fast. Its still running fast but just does not see the radio. Help, what am I doing wrong. I am ready to slash my wrists!!!!!!

My SunSDR2PRO no longer transmits on the 2 meter band. To be more precise I can hear the carrier / modulation on a separate receiver but the power output is 0W - when I click on Tune the current consumption goes to 3.1Amp

I don't usually use it on 2 meters but wanted to try it our again. Roman seems to think that it is an issue with a relay but I am reluctant to replace it before I have excluded a software issue.

I distinctly remember that it stopped working in one of the Beta versions when version 1.2 was being released and that rolling back to an older version "fimware 41.7?" fixed that. I had not given it too much thought as I assumed that it was a bug and that it would have by now been resolved in v1.3

Two questions/requests

1. does anyone else have a similar issue with their SunSDR2?
2. can anyone share/upload a beta version of 1.2 ? for example ExpertSDR2 1.2 beta_1 ? -

I just want to test my theory before attempting open hart surgery to replace the relay when the issue may still be with software

Many thanks

A Christmas horror story.

Yes its me again, back to haunt you like the ghost of Christmas Past. And while reading this, if you so choose to, you may think I've been too much on the drink but I assure you I'm as sober as a Judge.

Anyway, I digress. Christmas is really for children, though I note someone of presumably adult age claimed their SunSDR DX was the best Christmas present ever. I am amazed that it is not eclipsed by the teddy bear he surely had as a child but each to their own. But as you get older, most people find that there is some disppointment at Christmas. You don't get the present you want, or you do but it breaks after an hour. Or you give to someone what you think is a nice present but they don't seem to appreciate it that much.

So to Christmas here. Santa did come. My house has two chimneys and, like always, he picked the one with the most soot in it. After the usual vacuuming so on to opening of the presents. My XYL did like hers so I was happy. Mine were the ususal things you get when you are long in the tooth - more socks, another beer mug - you know how it is. I was getting a bit glum now. Nothing radio related. But then, maybe some hope. I remembered my friends at Expert Electronics. Surely, after so much turmoil this year, they wouldn't let me down. I cast my mind back to 3 September wen Roman proclaimed in this very same thread:

"On the same page, you may find the corrected development plan. Versions 1.3.1 - 1.3.3 should be released until the end of this year. One feature per release. The idea is to have a faster release cycle of stable versions with certain features".

Well now, I thought, something to cheer me up. We are at the end of December so there must be ESDR2 1.3.3! On went the internet, up came the computer, the MB1 download page I gleefully loaded in expectation....but wait, another incarnation of Scrooge? No 1.3.3, not even 1.3.2 - only the same 1.3.1. And so dear friends, a horror of most depressing proportions. Maybe next Christmas will be better.....

Hello Erik I agree with you, so much so that when Roman announced 1.3.1 - 1.3.3 by the end of 2019 was included the ALC, now the ALC is at 1.3.4
but where is 1.3.3 ??? good 5 days left to finish the year, so let's hope it comes out at 1.3.2 and 1.3.3, then let's pop the champagne to celebrate !!!!!!!

Hi Eric and All,
Im sorry to hear that you had glum Christmas.
You have mentioned my post about "Best Christmas present" so I should answer.
Christmas will be as good as you will make them.

And obviously I don't want to start any argument up here.
@Migule
Would not expect any software release before the end of the year, Vasiliy mentioned on the last youtube video that company will be closed between 27 of December and 9 of January.

Don't be sorry - it is a parable. A story. A simple story to illustrate a moral lesson. For heavens sake. Miguel understood, the antithesis being popping the champers but knowing it isn't possible this year.

"Mic AGC" is working good now :good: (1.3.1. update 6)

But "RX AGC" does not work properly so far. "Attack" Time has no effect :unknown:
