The current list of new features in EESDR3 Alpha 0.81 includes:
"E-Coder knobs you can assign volume and monitoring"
I am unable to locate a menu where I can assign E-Coder knobs to volume and monitor levels.
I use an MB-1.
Anyone found it?
Thanks and 73,
Torrey N9PY

(I use ESDR3 0.8.1 alpha with SunSDR2-DX. I am not familiar with the Mb-1)

How did you bring up the large E-Coder menu? I do have the blue "Detected E-coders' menu.

Found it. Had to right-click the detected E-Coder.

Thanks,

I've been trying to install SDR3 on my Windows PC for some time now. The installation of this package seems to go well, but on startup I always get a white window with the heading: Expert SDR3, and then nothing happens. On my IMac (2013), on the other hand, there is no problem and the software is installed without any problems. I've wiped and reinstalled the software several times, but I keep getting the same error.
Anyone have an idea what's causing this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Check if your video card supports directX 11 or higher?

Hi,
My NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450 card does support DirectX 10.0
This is a summary of my Windows system:

Hi,
I get this screen first instead of the "first ESDR3 color screen" with ati radeon hd 4770 which does not support directx11 after replacing the video card it normally starts...

Yes, that's the screen I also get.
Replacing the video card thus seems to be the only solution.
But that's a pity because I need to replace it by a graphics card suitable for my 3 screens setup and suitable for my old Foxxcon 2ABF motherboard.
Maybe thinking of a new motherboard?
Many thanks for the help.

Hello
It is usually better to install new motherboard immediately in the long run...

Keep in Mind V3 is being built on the new QT6 which has support for DX12 as does Windows 11..
So to take advantage of all the options for both V3 as a finial release and windows 11 you should use a system with supported DX12 video.
Also bare in mind that Win11 will also require a TPM2.0 or greater cable processor and motherboard as well, just a heads up

I have been using windows 11 for about a month now no issues with it or running V3 alpha releases thus far as well with MSHV and LogHX/Log4OM/ N1MM and Swiss log as well as the newest version of SDC client and even the tuner reminder application.

I seem to have some issues with 5M contest I keep looking for updates to it but have not seen any. when I lunch it it goes into a big loop and I have to kill it in task manager.

I posted my build and notes on the forum under the topic of upgrading an MB1 that build list has /shows components I used for my system and it is windows 11 ready and capable including DX12 and TPM 2.0 ..

I have downloaded SDR3 (the previous version not 9) , unzipped it, installed it in my Expert folder and I have a desktop icon ready to start it. Currently my SunSDR2 DX is running SDR2. How do I chamge over to SDR3 (and back again) ?

OK so I simply turned off the transceiver in SDR2, ran SDR3, switched on and bingo it works ! The E-Coder 2 even tunes but nothing else. There appear to be no settings yet to set up the E-Coder or for that matter the external amplifier so I can only run barefoot at the moment. The CW does seem much better but there is often a click on returning to receive. The version I have installed for the moment is 0.8.1 Alpha so I assume that what I am seeing is normal with that version at the moment ??

Any reason why you've chosen to use an older Alpha version of ESDR3? To be honest, ESDR3 Alphas are coming on significantly with each new release. My suggestion would be to use 0.9.0. I'm using it for 2m EME, and love it ;-)
