Hello all,
I´m using the external GPSDO from Leo Bodnar to synchronize my SunSDR2 QRP. I use +11.4dBm drive setting.
When I activated "Use external reference" in the Option Menue, the software crashes when I connect and my SunSDR2 QRP freezes software and hardware.
I have to switch the hardware off and on again and must restart the software. Working is only possible without the GPSDO. Software from Leo to test the GPSDO works well.
This happens with software version 1.2 and also with 1.3 alpha 2. I work with Win 10 on i7 hardware. Without GPSDO all (mostly all ;-) works fine.
Anybody out there with same experience or a hint for me? Hope, it is not a problem with my hardware.

Uwe

I made another Test:
External Reference in Software ist OFF. The power of the GPSDO-hardware is OFF.
Starting Sunsdr2, connect to the SDR and look at spectrum 10 Mhz. Nothing to see. Now I powered the GPSDO-hardware ON. Even though the external reference in Options is off, I can see the signal from the GPSDO (floor -120 dBm; signal -72 dBm). Changing the External Reference in Options at this time to ON and all freezes up.
This information may eventually help solving the problem.

Thanks, there is indeed a firmware bug in SunSDR2 QRP, we'll fix it within next month.

Hello Roman,

April is over, May is over and June is almost also over. We got the new beta 4 with the new firmware 7 but the external reference still does not work.
I like to see new hardware coming (SDR2 DX), but wouldn´t it make more sense to fix all the bugs in the actual hardware instead of opening a new project?
Even some basics are still not done. So 4k resolution for 3840 x 2160 is still faulty (overall still to small, window in "Options" to small (hight and wide, scroll bar apperas)). All smaller things, but they have to be done too.

I would like to support eesdr also in future with the purchase of new hardware. But - I hope you can understand this - I ´m not more willing to wait month for month to get basic features which were promised at the time of purchase. And it is more hard to hear, that a feature will be implemented next month and nothing happens.

Hello Rome,

since I assume that the firmware error to control the external GPSDO hardware will no longer be fixed, I am thinking about a hardware modification. Could you please give me the data of the internal TCXO and maybe also send me an extract from the circuit diagram of the QRP? Thank you!
