TOPIC: All signals are reading 10 dB too high

All signals are reading 10 dB too high 02 Dec 2021 17:18 #1

Independent of filter settings, modes, etc, a -73 dBm signal generator will register as approximately 63 dBm on the panadapter (all HF bands).
(Yes, I've checked the signal generator accuracy.)

No-signal noise levels (no antenna) are nominal: -110 at 10 dB attenuation, -120 dBm at 0 dB attenuation, -132 dBm at +10 attenuation.
(Are these levels in fact nominal?)

How can one recalibrate the panadapter level indicator?

Certainly it is independent of modes and settings, however I found it device model dependent. My SunSDR2 does exacly as you are describing, when DX has 1-2dBi variation.

As far as I know, there are currently no user-available setting for panadapter re-calibration, however it might be possible EE to re-cal it for you via remote session - just check with Roman directly if this is the case.
