hi everyone

As example: I have my zoom center in the middle of the waterfall and my frequency, where i am listening and transmitting, is set on the zoom center.
When i then turn the big VFO knob, the frequeny and zoom center stands still and the spektrum and waterfall moves in the direction i turn the knob.
When i zoom out as far as possible with the Z-, then the spektrum and waterfall stands still and the zoom center and frequency moves to the direction i turn on the knob. When i reach the screen border then the spektrum and waterfall starts moving too, which is ok.
As soon i zoom in a bit with Z+, the frequeny and zoom center stands still again and the spektrum and waterfall moves again. :unknown:

How can i set that the spektrum and waterfall stands still all the time and only the zoom center and frequency moves to the direction i turn on the knob, no matter what zoomfactor is set??

It would make it lot easier to quickly tune to a signal i just saw on the waterfall.

i hope i could explain it properly. if necessary i can do a video.

thank you and best 73 de thomas, hb9fxu

The spectrum and zoom perform as designed.

To instantly tune to a signal, simply mouse click on the spectrum and the radio QSYs there.

Incorrect. And in any case Panel is for e-Coder.

It's ok - it is an anomaly with zoom in ESDR2. It has always been the way Thomas describes even way back in version 1.1 from 2016.

thank you all for your answers ..
the solution to click in the waterfall i know ... but as you start then to fine-tune with the wheel, the waterfall and spektrum starts moving again.

to be honest, wouldn't it be a lot easier to jump to a station, that isn't just broadcasting, if you could use the trail on the stationary waterfall ??
that would massively improve its usefulness or not ?

i discoverd it by "accident" as i fully zoomed out and was so happy that this worked. and the again disappointed as i zoomed in again and the waterfall started moving again

Yes Thomas you are absolutely right. It was a request that there was consistency in its operation way back in 2016. I guess it is on their very long "to-do" list. You can add it to the 'wishes' section of the Forum if you like. It may help get it fixed.
