You get FUDDS in every hobby.. Archery, shooting, ham radio, etc. Generally its an "old timer" (not always, but generally) that believes if you're not doing it like him and how he was taught, you're wrong and you shouldn't be allowed to do it.

Hi, I use the bundled plug-ins alka sound card and so I can change the voice to my liking without overdoing it obviously!! just use the bundled DAW and plug ins....fun!!
