This should be the zero beat option you wish for. Perhaps Roman can clarify whether it is or not. I would imagine it has to be. Erik.

Hi Roman,

I am sure we are. Zero Beat means to adjust your rig's transmit frequency to exactly match the transmit frequency of the other ham so that there is not even a few hertz difference. It works in conjunction with CW sidetone, so that whatever the users' preferred sidetone frequency is, the RX still nets exactly to that of the QSO partner. The Automatic CW Fine Tuning option being introduced must be this for sure.

I am wondering if the zero beat function would be continous. In other words, if the SunSDR2 radio has a GPSDO reference oscillator (precise in other words) and the other ham's tx is a bit drifty ... will the SunSDR2 follow that ham's freq during the qso. And, what if the other ham's tx is not linked to his rx? He doesn't have a transceiver in other words. He will be fishing for your freq everytime it is time it is your turn to xmit.
