TOPIC: Spectrum RX/TX EESDR 3

Hello

Who came up with the idea to freeze the spectrum RX green line and to stay in the spectrum when trx goes to tx and an additional red spectrum line appears ?
The fact that the red color tx spectrum line appears is OK, but that both are present at time tx is not OK.

What is in V2 is great plus the addition that this spectrum line in tx mode in V3 is red and no longer green great improvement :so_happy:
I don't think I'm the only user bothered by this in the V3 alpha version.
I hope that until the beta release this will be fixed or at least an option in what way the user wants to have rx tx spectrum line and not both simultaneously in the spectrum.

To each his own, and I mean that in a no harm way
I rather like the way it looks, and yes for the time is locked and no user settings for appearance, rather they get functions working and fixed before appearance and coloring options

Yes Rick I agree but I'm not talking about the color palette and user settings in V3 this one will be one day :)
But about the functionality of the RX/TX spectrum this is an important matter from the very start in the GUI.

Oh, I knew what you meant by the RX/TX display- honestly it hasn't bothered me.

actually, if you're a fast key you can use the frozen line to report signal to others as it remains like you said in the display,

It might be useful to have the last received signal for reference - mainly to get a sense of the bandwidth occupied by the TX signal. I can see why some may not mind it. That said, an option to turn the received spectrum on or off would probably please most people.

Well, it bothers me so little that I had difficulty in understanding quite what you were getting at!
I think V3 is excellent, and haven't used V2 in months. I am against having every little thing user configurable....just because it is SDR and you 'can' doesn't necessarily mean that you 'should'. If that were to happen the gui would soon become too bloated and busy...I like the clean look of V3.

Hi, Paul
read my post again you need to understand how the RX/TX spectrum should work without both spectrum being present at TX if you are using V3 you should know what i am talking about and how the matter works in V2.

Elvis, I've read your original post a number of times...I just don't agree with you :-)
I see nothing wrong with V3, and I can't be bothered to revert to V2 just to see what it used to be like. For me, V2 is history ;-)
I quite understand that you are identifying something that is different, it is either intentional or a fault. For the time being I am assuming it is not a fault (but happy to be proved wrong), and I have no problem with adapting to the difference. If you think it is a fault, your best bet is to raise a Bug Report...but if it is something that you just don't like, I'd hold off and wait..

Daniel's post above knows what I am talking about.
Until this is changed or an option is added to turn off, I do not intend to use V3 example it's like your trx goes to tx but at the same time you have rx audio.
When you go to tx there should be only tx spectrum and nothing else.

Hi Lars,
yes even more fun is that with the last fw you lose remote functionality in V2 update 11 so a downgrade is the only correct way.
Do you have V2 update 8 software saved on the comp?
If yes then I would ask you if you can upload it for me I don't know why the EE doesn't leave all the versions
under the software on the website in a separate part for example old software release.
If anyone has all versions of V2 SunSdr2DX software I would be happy :)
