SDC is now at version 10.65 and can be downloaded from the usual link www.dropbox.com/s/tfkaqf6615eo9kd/SDC_10_setup.zip?dl=0

In this version, integration with N1MM+ is established.

Attachment n1mm.jpg not found

Set up in N1MM is as per the User Manual Addendum N1MM section where it refers to VSELink. Set up in SDC is as above, with attention to your choice of Spot status and colors. Match the type of spot N1MM - SDC: double mult -> Mult mult -> mult dupe -> Dupe the rest -> Not Cfm.

Also in this SDC version, the Skimmer decoder has been reworked. The results are seen in the decoding windows. In the Skimmer windows callsigns are added.

Whilst this is an alternative to VSELink for sending Spots from N1MM to ESDR2, it does not activate the N1MM Spectrum Scope which is still solely the purview of VSELink.

Hi.

SDC seems not to work with N1MM+ UDP spot packets on LAN (192.168.x.255). It does work with spots originating from N1MM on localhost.

1)
I run N1MM and EDSR2+SDC on separate computers. So I set broadcasting of N1MM+ to 192.168.1.255:12060 . Then on the other PC I tell SDC to get N1MM spots on 192.168.1.255:12060. Nothing happens.

2)
If I start a second instance of N1MM+ on the PC on which SDC is running, N1MM is receiving spots from the other N1MM on the other PC, and I also set broadcasting of spots, then I tell SDC to listen to 127.0.0.1:12060 and it works.

Can you possibly check if it is a bug, and tell Yuri?

I am just going to check out VSE_Link. I want to run N1MM on a separate PC.

I have emailed Yuri for you. If he does not reply here and sends me a message I will tell you the answer he gives.

The link in my 17 October post is now to version 10.6524

Issues with the decoder and '599 to Panorama' are fixed.

The N1MM issue is outstanding, Yuri is trying to fix for a future version.

Some SDC users experience random 'silent' shutdowns of the application. If you use 10.6524 and have this happen, please email me direct.

To enable N1MM spots across a LAN, the reply from Yuri is:

"In the settings of N1MM-Spots, you must specify the IP address of the computer, where SDC is working.
In the SDC configuration, you only need to specify the port.
You also need to look at the network and firewall settings."

The link in my 17 October post is now to version 10.6525 - 10.6524 install + a new exe file to overwrite the installed one in C:\Program Files\LwSoft\SDCx64

Thanks to user feedback, we found that the crash occurred if the Skimmer signal/noise detect was set to maximum sensitivity of 2.00 but this is now corrected.

If you have not experienced the crash, you can skip the update as there is nothing else new in it.

SDC is now at version 10.67 - the only change is that there are now log windows to monitor data from N1MM and the SDC Telnet Server.

The download link at www.dropbox.com/s/tfkaqf6615eo9kd/SDC_10_setup.zip?dl=0 contains this new version and the 10.6525 exe - there is a text file also included to explain the reason in case you want to make a comparison.

HI,

I just want to share my experience with SDC 10.65 for OS X.

I have OS X Mojave and even though SDC will launch, there is no configuration window - the app is running without showing anything at all.

Does anyone experience the same problems?

Many thanks.

There are issues with OS X Mojave. But Yuri does not have this OS and cannot help yet. In the future, date unknown, a solution will be forthcoming.

Hello,

I think there is some issue in the Linux version as well: it seems SDC can decode very well any station but for some reason it doesn't show it in the waterfall window nor it sends the spot to EESDR panadapter. As you can see in the picture below, SDC has already decoded R7TW station but it doesn't appear in SDC waterfall and EESDR Panadapter.
On the other side Windows 10.65 version works fine.

You may be right but also check your Skimmer Global settings in case you have set a requirement for a higher number than 1 decodes to verify a call.

In the event there is an issue, there is not much to be done. Yuri does not compile SDC for any OS other than Windows and cannot diagnose bugs for Linux and Mac. There are Linux users without problems though.

Hi Erik,
thank you very much for your answer. Of course it is not a great issue and I am happy with SDC on Linux as well.
I just would like to better understand SDC "world". In the picture below you can see my Global settings configuration. As per UMA guidelines it should have the minimal requirements for call decoding but I could be wrong.
Thank you again for your help :so_happy:

Hello Enzo

UMA guidelines are a setting of 2 for "Without CQ". You have it at 0 which means only stations that get decoded with CQ will be posted to the Panorama. You may have deliberately set it that way but it does restrict what you see that is TXing. Anyway, just try it with 2 to see if it helps. It might not.
