I believe, with SunSDR DX Tune and Drive changes in ESDR are really due.

With current SW version I have found it very difficult (in needed time and result), when I have to switch between using in-build 100W PA or external 500W solid state PA (which requires low power 2-5W input source). Getting each band setup done for 2-5W output is currently a bit of extreme in ESDR.

What I would like to suggest is in ESDR:
1. Split power output Options-Device-Expert-Power Correction into three sections:
- Low Power (for solid state ext PAs with input requirements 1-5W)
- Medium Power (for ext PAs with input requirements 20-50W)
- High Power (to use with in-build 100W)
2. Implement drop-down menu in PA (On/Off external PA control) with selection of Low/Medium/High
3. Implement output W approximation in "Drive" and "Tune" sliders (currently they showing %, which is kind of useless, when you have different max output values per band).
4. Expand TCI with above features control, something like
DRIVEMODE:arg (example DRIVEMODE:L for Low) with Low-Medium-High as args.
DRIVEW:arg (example DRIVEW:1 for 1 watt) with relevant Watts as args.
and replicate it for TUNE
TUNEMODE:arg
TUNEW:arg

Thanks

I would like to add to this list the TCI command to control the PA button.
How do you VooDoo?

Actually could you not really do this now

Setup different global profiles with those settings you need in each global profile, then you can simply just recall them when you want less or more.

Sure it might be a bit time consuming to set it up but once you do and save them you can easily select which you want to use

My request is more or less in line with the above, but let me describe how it would work for me:

At home I use my Expert 1.3K, so need to set the output power somewhere between 3-8 Watts (differs per band). If I want to tune my amplifier, I can't do that with full power, so need to have a setting for tuning with PA.
When on DXpedition, and only using 100 Watts, I would like to have a check-box having full power on all bands. In addition I need to have a tune power of approx. 10 Watts (for an external tuner), so different from the tune setting when using with PA.

It would be nice if the power reading was the actual power which makes it a lot easier to adjust the power levels for the PA.
