Has anyone besides NA6T, W3FRG, & myself, K6TWO noticed random RF output going to zero while the mic meter and spectrum display continues showing the active transmit signal? This has happened on two Dell Windows 10 and two Ubuntu computers. The cut out of RF output is totally random. It can be a short or long transmission, but almost always noted with a between word pauses. I've disabled the noise gate so that is not a factor. I'm using EESDR3 1.0.2 BETA and firmware is current. All computer are 64 bit, I7 processors.

I recall a similar behavior with EESDR2 later versions before EESDR3 was introduced. If your a long winded SSB ragchewer please check to see if this is your experiences too.

How are you getting audio to the radio, you mention SSB
so, is this through Mic 1 Mic2 or some other source like PC audio?

Personally, I use Mic 2 have for quite a while and have never had the TX power drop other than between words as it should being SSB (no Carrier present) or letting off the foot switch for PTT

I don't and haven't used MOX or VOX- but if you feel that could be culprit, I will try using it and see if same result.

I use mic 1 input and it randoomly occurs between a word in a sentence of speech and the VOX is still engaged according to the TX light on the SDR2DX.

Just wanted to make sure that possibility of incorrect use MIC was not happening or that a blocking cap was placed inline since there is no Software way to turn on/off the supply voltage to Mic 1 thus causing an issue.

I use Mic2 , I've tried using VOX as you mentioned but the problem hasn't occurred yet here.

I have just come across this thread and also found I have the same issue. Could be mid way thru an over an the amplifier just drops out whilst the radio acts as normal, but outputting low power of course. Has anyone come up with a solution to this?

Tnx Bill for entering the problem here. I believe there are more operators having this problem but the people they are communicating with just think they have unkeyed,
I have the problem with Mic 1 & Mic 2 and it makes no difference whether I'm using VOX or PTT.

Hope they get a handle on this because it has become a REAL pain in the A$$.

I have observed the same behavior operating RTTY (AFSK through VAC) - short dropouts of modulation to zero, hearable on monitor too.

I finally captured the NO POWER OUT.
Notice Tx top left with No Power Out, yet the waterfall shows audio out.
The person you're talking to thinks you've unkeyed.
If you don't notice this anomaly, especially in PTT, you are still talking.

this sounds like a PC resource issue and to prove oterwise need to see task mamnager showing resources in use underload

I tried today to give EESDR 3 a high priority like in V2 and seems to have fixed my dropouts considerably.
