Does anyone know when the e-coder 2 will be available in the USA? I've checked both distributors, but neither are listing them yet. As a CW op, the built-in sound card in the e-coder 2 will hopefully make remote operation much better, so I'm anxious to try one out.

Hi Jason - I ordered mine from EU with the hope of using it for CW. Unfortunately the current firmware of the E-Coder2 is very buggy, making it unusable for CW. There is some new firmware that is supposed to come out for E-Coder2 but we have no idea if that will work yet or when it will be out. The only way to do CW now is to use it directly on the SunSDR2 and not remotely. Alternatively, you can rely on macros sent over TCI.

in addition to my E-coder, on a secondary remote site, I am using an old fashined usb-232 adapter to connect my paddle to the computer. (see the picture below).
On Linux KUbuntu 20.04 I don't have any audio problems, it works fine. On the Windows computer I had to install the ASIO4ALL driver to overcome a audio latency issue. While you are waiting for the e-coder 2 check if your soundcard has its own ASIO drivers or give a try to ASIO4ALL.
