my Sunsdr2DX works fine on cw and digital modes but I just can't seem to set up my md100 desk mic for ssb
get oscillations and feedback. Always worked on previous models, spent ages trying to set it up?

Try to use ferrite chokes if it this won't help you may need to add isolation transformer.
But generally speaking, there is no ready solution.
We can only try and share our experience.

no good, am using a dummy load at zero power, very bad distortion on monitoring
never happened with previous Sunsdr2pro and Sunsdrqrp
I am using a Yaesu MD100 which has always worked before.

I use a Heil PR-40 dynamic XLR mic connected to PC via an "ART XConnect" USB to Microphone interface cable:
artproaudio.com/product/xconnect-usb-to-microphone-cable/
This makes any dynamic XLR mic look like just another USB PC mic... just select it windows and make it your default PC mic (you can even rename it PR-40 for example), and it woks awesome. Low noise, full range, and just use the expert SDR settings to EQ to your liking. I get outstanding audio reports on all modes.

you can use every mic, because you have an EQ
You can use every cheap 50cent condeser mic for excelent audio report, if you are able to config the eq.

I prefer cheap sennheiser headset on every transceiver

Using the WASAPI drivers in ExpertSDR audio card dropdown list, the latency is low... not realtime, but not annoyingly long like some other driver choices with this setup. The XLR converter cable if monitored directly in windows has virtually no delay.

In looking at pinout of RJ45 it looks to be pined out like many of the Yaesu rigs that use the RJ45 connector, am I correct?

If So then I should be able to use Yaesu XLR to RJ45 adapter and Pr781 and plug directly into the jack on front of rig- and either use Key line in back of radio or one in the adapter for PTT.

In regards those looking for ESSB- I am using the adapter i showed in the post above that converts a 3 Pin XLR cable to RJ45 in Yaesu pinout-

I have attached a Heil PR781 dynamic- and after setting the TX options correctly I am getting good reports very nice audio, currently using 4K bandwidth- will be working on increase bandwidth profiles later , but for now and just having the rig a week today reports are very good-

Using this method takes another load of of PC (those using the USB converter then plugged in PC now Pc is also involved in transferring audio and conversion of USB interface ) the XLR-RJ45 adapter is a direct method and no latency issues follow that route.

Maybe a section on forum would be nice to be able to upload and download user mic profiles. Since they can be exported and imported in the software, then those with simialr setups could import and adjust to there voice and likings.

Attached is the 4K profile I am using with PR781

I use the Yaesu M-1 microphone and the reason is I like to monitor my voice while talking. There is a pretty long latency when monitoring other microphones when using the sound card in the computer. I also think that there is a good chance that a Blue Yeti microphone that has in mic monitoring would also work as you are monitoring your voice directly from the mic before it gets to the computer and then the SunSDR2 DX.

The Yaesu M-1 also has the ability to adjust the mic to your voice for the best sound. Yeah, it is expensive but then again, what isn't now a days?
