You can add eSata via USB. The adapter is only $10 approx.
RAM can be upgraded - 16GB helps enormously. RAM is cheap.
The CPU can be upgraded to an i7-6700T. Unfortunately, not a cheap option but very worthwhile if you want multiple monitors, both receivers, 2x Skimmer, etc. Less of an expense is to offload to a 2nd computer via ethernet and the Software Defined Connectors 3rd party software. But QRX for a EE supplied LAN<>COM solution to come soon.
Do you have that CPU installed, just curious if anyone is using it. I haven't looked at what is in my MB1 yet, but have seen folks here saying it's an overclocked i5. I am thinking that a faster CPU that isn't overclocked and more ram might be overall less susceptible to instability somwhen my warranty is up, I might drop one of these in if it's a validated option, read about this CPU (doesn't seem to have T on it, just i7 6700) and it benchmarks really well. Would also be interested to know what is in the the MB1 right now, have to run a until and see. Might need to be careful that the power supply in the radio is plenty capable of supporting a higher watt CPU if in fact it is, cooling has to be considered as well.
